A comprehensive, layered security system has been installed, and includes whole property CCTV, an IP gate intercom, window and door reeds, motion detecting PIRs and a hard-wired, integrated smoke and heat detection system.
High-definition cameras have been placed in key areas, providing complete visibility over the property, with feeds viewable from the client’s mobile phones, TV and central Crestron Home touchscreen.
The ICT alarm and access system offers keyless front door entry, and the whole system can be controlled via the client’s phones, remote controls and by a keypad in the house. The alarm system features a ‘stay-alarm’ function which allows our clients to move freely through the home, whilst doors and windows are ‘armed’. Time-limited access and guest codes can be generated for tradespeople, such as the pool maintenance company, providing more control over access to the property. Visitors to the property buzz at the gate, which can be answered via the main Crestron Home touchscreen or mobile phone and granted access.
The rack of electronic equipment has been hidden away in the garage, next to the control module cabinets. The rack is kept cool by the HVAC system removing the hot air generated by the electronics and is protected from electronic surges and spikes with power conditioning. Equipment cooling and power conditioning is imperative to protect and prolong the life of sensitive electronics.
We remotely monitor our client’s system health, ensuring any equipment issues are spotted and dealt with as soon as they occur – often before our client is aware of them. We are able to remotely log into the system and perform reboots, firmware updates and security patches, without the need for a truck roll. Remote support is faster and more cost effective – there is no waiting for a tech to drive to site, nor do they pay for them to sit in traffic to get there.
