From the outset, this client had a clear expectation of what they required for lighting, security, AV and access control. This client enjoys entertaining and wanted a home capable of delivering the “WOW factor” in all aspects of design and performance. 
The Vantage system controls all lights, blinds, heating, fire, entertainment and security systems from in-wall touchscreens and iPads. Lighting is automatically activated by motion sensors in common areas, stairwells and the master suite, light level is adjusted based on time of day.
The home features two home cinemas. An attic theatre for the children with 2.4M wide acoustically transparent screen and dedicated sky decoder and games consoles and this pool house theatre with 103″ plasma screen for big screen day time viewing with friends.
The pool, bar and cabana area are served by two enormous QSC KW153 1000W powered loudspeakers. When burning in these speakers prior to installation at the office we received a complaint from a neighbour three streets away who drove down to let us know that she was sitting on the couch next to her husband and could not hear what he was saying. With great SPL comes great responsibility – party wisely.
A touchscreen was discretely located in the kitchen – near the action but just out of sight. This screen controls all aspects of the home including
Lighting, Multiroom Audio, HVAC, Outdoor heaters, Underfloor heating, Fireplaces, Blinds & drapes, Water features, Front Door, Garage doors, Vehicle and pedestrian gates and cameras & Alarm system.
Vantage boasts a wide array of keypad options enabling us to match the homes decor in every room. Here the keypad is located within reach of the bathtub to provide control of lights, music, underfloor heating and an inwall waterproof TV.
The wine cellar features cool white lighting to accent the room but to reduce the heat load on the cooling system maintaining the temperature and humidity. A magnetic lock in the head of the glass door is released by a long press from an adjacent keypad enabling the client to restrict access to his extensive collection.
