About LED & Video Walls & Digital Signage
How to bring spaces to life with LED and Video Walls – Firstly, what is a Video Wall?
A video wall is a special system of displays tiled together contiguously to form one large screen. Video walls can help your business stand out with eye-catching displays, deliver information or infographics to large crowds, or display substantial amounts of in-depth information in a meeting room scenario.
Video walls, or large format displays are often found in control rooms, stadiums, and other large public venues, but also benefit smaller venues where screens are viewed both up close and at a distance, requiring high pixel density and large size.
Choosing the right type of video wall
A video wall made up from multiple displays, or TV screens delivers impactful video and imagery increasing the level of visual engagement. The displays have very narrow bezels to minimise the gap between each screen and are built with serviceability in mind. This can be a cost-effective tool for high impact marketing.
LED walls, on the other hand, are built using a collection of LED panels. These panels are bezel free and deliver a seamless, reflection-free, high-pixel density image perfect for large meeting rooms where content may include text and figures.
Both solutions are customisable to the size you want, and the same content can be distributed to either system, albeit in different formats.
What is digital signage?
Digital signage refers to a combination of hardware, content and software – screens to display audio, video, graphics, imagery and text, and the digital infrastructure on which it’s delivered – to entice people to stop and look, engages them through connection and interaction, and collects information for business insights in real time.
Why digital signage?
The application for usage is diverse, for example:
Public – Share location-specific information – maps, wayfinding, traffic, weather, timetables
Corporate – Share knowledge, book meeting rooms
Tradeshows – Demonstrate products or services, show catalogues and log visitor registration
Marketing – For promotions or ambiance
Tourism – Show wayfinding, points of interest and local information
Museums – Show gallery items, and offer digital tours
Retail – Self check-outs and product showcases
Restaurants – Digital menu boards, self-ordering kiosks and self-service
If you are looking for a way to use a digital platform to inform, entertain, educate, and communicate with people digital signage might be right for you.
